Enhancing Navigation Through Wayfinding at Queenstown Airport
Queenstown Airport is embarking on a transformative Wayfinding Project to deliver a seamless, intuitive experience for all travellers.
Seamless experiences through thoughtful design
Queenstown Airport is embarking on a transformative Wayfinding Project to deliver a seamless, intuitive experience for all travellers. This initiative will redefine how people find their way around the airport, ensuring clarity, confidence, and ease at (almost) every step.
Drawing on global best practices, the project will introduce a cohesive design system that reflects the Queenstown Airport brand and broader region and supports future terminal development. It will integrate best-practice accessibility principles with thoughtful design to ensure all passengers can easily navigate the airport, regardless of ability or familiarity.
Implementation will be phased over the next six months, aligning with infrastructure upgrades while ensuring the design is scalable, sustainable, and adaptable to future changes.
Queenstown Airport is more than a transit point - it’s a gateway to the region. This project reflects our commitment to delivering a world-class experience that begins the moment people arrive at the airport.
What is Wayfinding?
A system of signs, maps, screens, and even the design of roading, walkways, and buildings that all work together to support people in finding their way around.
