Parking at Queenstown Airport
There are convenient parking options both at Queenstown Airport and close by. At the terminal, we offer a free 20-minute grace period for pick-ups or drop-offs. Parking charges apply after 20 minutes.
Pick-up Drop-off (PUDO) Zone
FREE
For some visitors, a quick pick-up or simple farewell is all you need. Our PUDO zone is designated no parking and no waiting. If you need a little longer or have arrived slightly earlier, we offer free 20 minutes in the terminal car park.
The PUDO zone is located directly outside the airport terminal and is available for private passenger pick-ups and drop-offs only.
The pick-up/ drop-off zone is not for use by commercial operators.
Please note, this area is monitored by CCTV for safety, security and infringement purposes.
P20 Express Parking
Pick-Up & Drop-ff
There’s no need to rush in and out of the airport, as we offer priority parking for visits of less than 20 minutes in the designated pick-up/drop-off parking bays within the terminal car park. These bays are located nearest the terminal and are signposted P20. Bonus - the first 20 minutes are FREE!
If you’ve parked for less than 20 minutes, you won’t need to validate your ticket - the License Plate Recognition (LPR) cameras will automatically open the barrier arm.
If you plan to stay longer than 20 minutes, please park in non-P20 spaces and validate your ticket at the pay station. The LPR cameras will recognise that you've paid and open automatically.
Short & Long Stay Parking
From $30 per day
Queenstown Airport terminal car park is the most convenient option for travellers for short or multi-day stays. It is located straight in front of the terminal and has an express pick-up and drop-off zone in the front bays, four mobility parking spaces, and almost 400 terminal car parking spaces.
Mobility Car Parks
Queenstown Airport has two mobility P60 car parks located directly outside the airport terminal, free of charge, for those picking up or dropping off passengers. If you're travelling, mobility car parks are in all our car parks. We have four at the front of the terminal car park for your convenience.
Located on Brookes Road, Park & Ride is ideal for the savvy saver. Rates start at $20 for the first day then $10 for days thereafter. Plus, you get to enjoy a free 15-minute scenic shuttle ride!
Plug in with ease at Queenstown Airport!
Our six Tesla Destination Charging stations are ready to power up your EV while you enjoy your travels. Located conveniently in the terminal car park, these chargers are perfect for a quick top-up or a more extended stay.
The chargers can be used by any electric vehicle with a Type 2 charging port or adapter. Tesla's charging technology can add up to a 100km range per hour of charge.
Charging is free, but you'll still have to pay the standard parking rates (see parking fee information below).

How to Pay
At the Terminal
Queenstown Airport accepts credit card or EFTPOS payments for terminal parking. The pay station is conveniently located on the pathway to the departures and arrivals area and has three stations that take all major credit cards. If you have any issues with the pay station or would like to pay with cash, please see a friendly member of the team at the Airport Information Desk inside the terminal.
Queenstown Airport Park & Ride
Payment is made via credit or debit cards. Just tap or insert your card on your way in and when you exit. No cash payments are accepted.

Tap & Go
Simply tap your credit or debit card when you enter the terminal car park. When you leave, tap your card again, and your account will automatically be charged. There is no need for a paper ticket - just Tap and go.
Please note for charges $200 or greater, a pin is required. Please insert your card to complete the payment. Unfortunately, 'Tap & Go' is not an option in these instances.
