Marketing & Content Coordinator
The position:
Join our team as our Marketing & Content Coordinator reporting to the Partnerships & Marketing Manager. Responsibilities include producing high-quality visual content to support our marketing communications efforts, community engagement and sustainability aspirations. General administration and reporting tasks are required alongside emergency management preparedness support.
Your skills and experience:
- You’ll love dynamic work environments and will come with at least 3+ years of experience in a similar role.
- Tertiary qualification or equivalent workplace experience in Marketing, Communications or Visual Arts.
- You’ll be a driven and creative professional with an approachable style who is excited about the world of marketing and communications, and who genuinely wants to solve customer problems.
- You’ll be a collaborative and engaging team player, who is able to build strong relationships with key stakeholders and work closely with people across the business to get the best results.

Airport Emergency Service recruits
The Queenstown Airport Emergency Service (AES) is seeking people to take part in a recruitment day with our firefighting team. Selected applicants will be invited to see what we do in our daily operations, and take part in a fitness test and beep test, as well as some basic firefighting and team-building tasks. We are looking to expand our team at the beginning of 2025, with interviews taking place in early December.
Please note, the ability to work comfortably in high-stress conditions, confined spaces and at heights is a compulsory requirement.
As a firefighter, you are required to respond to all duties necessary for the continued safe and effective operation of the airport, including emergency and medical responses, airfield communications and maintenance, pest control, passenger facilitation, public relations and general administration.
Our unit currently works on a rotating roster of 3 days on, 3 days off (public holidays and weekends included). This role is multi-faceted, and as such encompasses duties in emergency services, as well as daily compliance and operations.
While previous firefighting experience is welcomed, it is not a requirement for this role. We welcome a wide range of skills, background work, and life experience.
Any successful candidates following the practical assessment day, will be invited for an interview and beep test once firefighter positions become available.

To be suitable for this role:
- you need to be physically fit and healthy; you will be required to pass a minimum standard on a beep test (8.5) and a firefighter fitness test
- you should have great people and customer service skills, and be able to communicate calmly and effectively in a wide variety of situations.
- Previous experience is a positive, however it is not a requirement as a full training program is provided for new recruits
You will need
- New Zealand residency/citizenship or a valid NZ work visa
- to be able to pass Ministry of Justice, security checks and a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
- a full and clean driver's licence.
