SUSTAINABILITY MANAGER – PARENTAL LEAVE COVER
The Position:
We are looking for a part-time Sustainability Manager (20 hours per week) to join us on a 12-month fixed-term parental leave contract. This role is a focused component of our existing Sustainability Manager position, with a primary emphasis on data collection and reporting.
You’ll be a specialist with a keen eye for detail and the ability to translate stats into meaningful stories. As part of the Sustainability & Corporate Affairs team, you’ll play an integral role in supporting the delivery and reporting of our Sustainability Strategy and decarbonisation goals during this parental leave period.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the annual carbon audit process and the company’s Airport Carbon Accreditation in FY26, including monitoring performance throughout the year, and preparing for the audit in Q1 FY27.
- Lead the collection of data and insights, and reporting against the company’s sustainability targets and commitments.
- Assist with the coordination of year-end reporting, including climate-related disclosures and sustainability reporting.
- To support the ongoing refinement and implementation of QAC’s Sustainability Strategy Support the Sustainability & Corporate Affairs team produces high-quality, effective and timely internal and external communications and reports on sustainability initiatives and performance.
Your Skills and Experience:
- Solid experience (more than 5 years) in corporate ESG/sustainability reporting and data analysis (or similar relevant experience).
- Proven experience in collecting data, interpreting complex data sets, strategic analysis and reporting.
- Proven track record in building relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Ability to think strategically and identify practical solutions to complex problems.
- High level of initiative and accountability in making things happen.
- Actively and independently managing own workload and proactively identifying priority areas.
- Collaborative and flexible approach.
- An uncompromising approach to Health and Safety.
